Outreach Opportunities

We at FPC believe that an important part of our mission as a church is to reach out to those in need.  Our help extends not only to our local community but also beyond... as close as our neighbors in nearby Appalachia and as far as the town of Armenia in Belize. 

Our assistance takes many forms.  We contribute financially to support many programs, but we also give of our time and talents to improve the quality of life of those experiencing life's tough challenges.

Our committee meets the first Tuesday of each month at 7:30 pm. We welcome your ideas and hope you will join us.

2011 Outreach/Mission Grant Program

The FPC Outreach Committee has set aside $2,000 in the 2011 Outreach budget for grants of up to $300 to FPC groups that want to undertake outreach/mission activities.  Our aim is to support the efforts of groups that already engage in outreach/mission activities and to encourage groups that have not undertaken such work before to do so in 2011.

 Groups that wish to apply for these grants are asked  to complete a brief application form and place it in the Outreach Committee mail slot outside the church office. The grants will be allocated on a first come, first served basis until the earmarked funds are depleted.

The Outreach Committee hopes that this grant program will spur FPC groups to consider how they might support Christ’s mission to minister to the less fortunate among us.  If you have questions, please contact the Outreach Committee co-chairs, Robin Graham or Dee Robinson.
