FARRAGUT PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all

consolation, who consoles us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to console those who are

in any affliction with the consolation with which we ourselves are consoled by God.

2 Corinthians 1:3,4

Illness & Bereavement Ministries

Audio Recording

For those unable to attend Sunday service, sermons are recorded in CD and cassette format. These are available to be checked out in the old Narthex.  For home delivery of audio recordings, please contact Charica Collins, 966-0067.

Card Ministry

We send get well cards to members of our congregation in times of illness as well as thoughtful notes to our homebound. We also send sympathy cards to those suffering the loss of a loved one. It is our way of letting people know that they are not alone in their difficult times.

Flower Ministry

Provides flowers for those in the hospital, those homebound, and new parents.  Bouquets are made from the chancel flower arrangements after the service.

Home Communion

On those Sundays in which Communion is served at the Church, home communion is offered in the homes of those congregants who are unable to attend.  Elders of the church serve communion as an extension of the communion service at church.

If you are interested in receiving home communion, contact Colleen Curtis: colleenc1@tds.net

Reception Committee

This committee prepares and serves funeral receptions and works with Presbyterian Women to provide food in case of illness or death.  This service helps to alleviate some of the responsibilities of the grieving family.
