Children’s Choir (for children ages 4-12) meets every Wednesday, 6:00-7:00 in Room A (the old sanctuary). The goals of this program are to teach children to worship God through music and to fully appreciate the gift of music that God has given us. In addition to preparing music to sing in worship, this group learns basic sight-reading and ear training using Solfege syllables. Children learn best when they are having fun, and this group strives to incorporate games and laughter into the learning process! We welcome new choir members anytime!
Kid’s Spring Musical 2017 – “100% Chance of Rain”
Children’s Orchestra is for children of all ages who play violin, viola, cello, or bass. We meet Sunday evenings 5:15-5:45 in Room A (the old sanctuary). This group welcomes beginners to expert-level players, and the music is modified to meet the abilities of each player (some even play open strings). Children must provide their own instrument, and some outside practice is required in order to work well as an ensemble. Sight reading is not required. We perform in Sunday morning worship as well as other occasional events.
Kid’s Handchimes meet on Wednesday evenings from 6pm to 7pm in Room A. They will be working on pieces to share with the congregation on July 10, 2016 at the 10am worship service.
