Our Pastor

We are pleased to introduce you to our pastor, REVEREND MATTHEW R. NIEMAN.

Pastor Matt, our pastor and head of staff since 2014, hails from Orange City, Iowa, and graduated from Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, a PC(USA)-related college.  He worked in fundraising and special-event planning at BVU for a few years before answering God’s call to ordained ministry.  He received his Master of Divinity degree from Austin Presbyterian Seminary in 1999.

Matt started his ministerial career in 1999, as the associate pastor at First Presbyterian Church in Hastings, NE. Then he became head of staff at First Presbyterian Church in Bellevue, Nebraska in 2002, where he served for 12 years.  Outside the church, Matt enjoys spending time with his sons, Jacob and Joey.  He’s a big Green Bay Packers, Iowa State Cyclones, and Atlanta Braves fan.  He reluctantly stays active by running, exercising and playing a little bit of golf, but not very well..
