Dr. Angela Batey
Dr. Batey is our Director of Music, having joined our staff in 1998. She is also the Associate Dean for the College of Arts and Sciences at The University of Tennessee, as well as Director of Choral Activities and Director of Graduate Studies in the School of Music.
Lori CorbettLori joined our staff as bookkeeper in 2015. She previously worked in the financial services industry in a variety of positions, including performing financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting, and accounting. Beth is Director of our Children’s Enrichment Program (CEP). She has been with our program for over 30 years. Prior to becoming director, she served in the infant room as well as Acting Director. Beth is a registered nurse and as director, supervises our amazing teachers.
Tami is our Associate Director of Music/Organist, joining our staff in January of 2000. She has been an organist/director of music in many denominations for over 40 years. Tami is pursuing her dream of degrees in Sacred Music, Religious Studies and Judaic Studies at the University of Tennessee.
Mason is the Director of Family Ministry and a lifelong Presbyterian from Dublin, GA and graduate of Maryville College. Having grown up in the PCUSA, he has a passion for all things Presbyterian! Mason attended the Montreat Youth Conference, as a participant and as stage leadership, ever since he was 14 years old, and hasn’t missed a year since! He also participated in the Presbyterian Youth Triennium as a member of the production team and as a participant. Mason also attended General Assembly in 2016 as an observer.
Dr. Khyle Wooten
Dr. Wooten is a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and is an educator, conductor, researcher, church musician, and composer. He holds the bachelor of science degree in music education from Lincoln University, the master of music degree in choral conducting from Georgia State University, and the doctor of philosophy degree in music education, with an emphasis in choral conducting from Florida State University. Khyle has a wide range of experience with various ensembles, including choral, a cappella, and praise and worship bands. He has been involved in church programs his entire life and served in many capacities of music leadership. Khyle joined FPC as our Music Leader for Casual Worship in December 2021.
Dawn is our Office Administrator. She is a “retired” northerner who lived in Ohio and Michigan most of her life, but was born in Maryville, TN. Dawn attended Miami University of Ohio and Bowling Green State University before raising 3 children with her husband, Steve. She joined our staff in 2013 after 14 years of office management in the dental field. Dawn’s vivacious personality greets those who visit our church during the week.
